The short version
- We collect what homerun needs to work: your household, its members, chores, events, lists and rewards.
- We never sell your information.
- Only members of your household can see your household's data.
- A few trusted services help us run homerun. They're listed below.
What we collect
- Account info: your name, email address and profile photo from Google Sign-In.
- Household info: your household name, invite code, and the members you add. Members you add without an account (like kids) are just names.
- What you put in homerun: chores and their history, calendar events, shopping lists, points, goals and rewards.
- Settings: your preferences, and, if you turn them on, a phone number for text recaps and a zip code or approximate location for weather.
- Smart home: if you connect Home Assistant, its address and access token, which are stored so homerun can talk to it for you.
- Billing: your plan and subscription status. Card details are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store them.
How we use it
- To run homerun: show your household's chores, calendar, lists and rewards, and keep every device in sync.
- To send the reminders and nightly recaps you've asked for.
- To power AI features when you use them, like adding a chore by voice or asking a question.
- To process payments and provide support.

Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your household is limited to its members.
Your choices
- Edit or delete chores, events, lists and members in the app at any time.
- Turn notifications and text recaps on or off in settings.
- Disconnect Home Assistant at any time.
- To delete your account and all associated data, email support@joinhome.run. We'll do it within 48 hours.
Children
Kids can be added to a household as profiles by a parent or guardian. They don't need their own account or email. homerun accounts are created by adults.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll let you know in the app or by email.
